The Women in War poster series is a modern interpretation of historic propaganda posters. Many of the propaganda posters used throughout WW1 and WW2 targeted toward women, had a stereotypical view of a woman's role during war time. Most of these focused on a woman's duty to support the men. These incredible and hard working women who took up new roles in war time lead to a revolution in women's right. They set the foundation for women to join the workforce and strive for gender equality. The idea of buildings blocks was visualised geometrically on the posters along side vintage imagery from the era. The modern and clean aesthetic juxtaposes against the contents archaic message to create a jarring yet beautiful effect.
